He (Jesus) is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 1(John 2.2)
1. Christ is the propitiation
He's the only one able to pacify sinners in a manner acceptable by God, in order to bring about reconciliation. God's wrath is kindled against all sinners, and the world is full of sinners. God's wrath is turned away. God's wrath is appeased because His justice is fully satisfied! But, How can you get this propitiation?
2. Only by having Jesus CHRIST has your propitiation.
3. But how can Jesus Christ be your propitiation? By trusting in Christ! By putting your Faith in Him. By depending on Him for forgiveness of all your sins.
4. What's the evidence that you've trusted in Christ? That you've acknowledged all your sins. That you've owned up all your sins. That you've accepted your sinfulness has offended God and made you God's enemy. Hence your deserve all the due punishment unless God provides the remedy.
5. Is this true of you? It may be true for the whole world, but if it's a not a reality for you then you forfeit all eternity, all glory, all God!
