MIRACLES?

Again and again the Scriptures keeps on warning us of the deceptiveness of the devil in the use of miracles in the last days. Do you take these warnings seriously? listen to what the Lord says:
"On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?'
And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.' "
Matthew 7:22-23
Today there are many who are coming with claims of miracles and others with miracles albeit false (not from Christ). They claim to prophesy (and others do) In Jesus' name, the claim to cast out demons (and others do) in the name of Jesus and many others claim (and others do) perform mighty works or miracles in Christ's name.
The question is not whether these miracles actually take place, the question is not whether people get healed or demons are cast, the real question is ARE THESE PEOPLE GENUINELY SENT BY CHRIST OR THEY ARE WORKERS OF LAWLESSNESS?
This is the question that you need to ask yourself. If there is one area that Christians need to beware and to watch out for is to be deceived by the devil that because so and so actually healed so and so then he must be genuine. Rather you ought to gauge their genuines, not by what they do  in the name of miracles (because the devil has power to produce fake miracles) but by what they say and do:

1. Are these preachers using the Bible faithfully?
2. Are these preachers producing fruits that are godly in their own lives?

Undoubtedly, there are many wonderful and astoundingly amazing things that God has been doing in His providence here on His creation to show that He is sovereign and is in control of His creation. This shows that God is actively involved in time and space in His creation - all His creatures and all their actions, in order to bring glory to Himself.

We must be careful in calling almost everything miracles. Many people say that even breathing the air is a miracle! Even waking up is a miracle, etc.. and the list goes on to show that everything is a miracle. Now that miracles are so common then you defy even the dictionary definition of a miracle.
Do you know why people these days call everything a miracle? I believe it is because they are surprised that God is at work because the atheists and anti-God forces have been seeking to show that God is not there.
But God is there involved in all the actions of men - good or bad - controlling everything to work exactly in accordance to the counsel of His will.

  1. God does not always meet our needs by supernatural miracles. A miracles is a the exception, not the rule.
